…more cat pics!
This should tide you over until I have more interesting things to write about. Yes, it’s boomer again but he’s just so big and lazy!

V for Vendetta is so fucking cool. The story made me so angry and so happy at the same time.
Mmmm…it’s REALLY good. I’ll probably see it in the theater again.
Oh, and I’m in love with Natalie Portman.
In other news, we ended our date with an 11pm stop at In ‘n Out: all carbs, grease, and salt but it was worth it.

I was eating so well until I happened upon the Easter candy aisle at Safeway. My weakness? None other than Dove Dark Chocolate easter eggs. So so good and so so addictive! Add a glass of milk on the side and they make a great supper substitute. But should they? Probabry not.
…or maybe just me.
Danny and I just finished watching the documentary “Enron: the smartest guys in the room.” Wow. I knew it was bad but I never grasped how very very bad the Enron collapse was. I know, it’s been over four years since everything went down, but it still floors me. If you’re interested in corporate politics or just major economic manipulation in general, I highly recommend this film. It didn’t sound that interesting at first, but I was glued to the TV throughout it.
New discovery: Garden Burger’s meatless herb crusted chicken patty. Oh my God, these things are good. I’d never tried garden burgers before and, while the original garden burger isn’t fantastic, these chicken things are good. No, they don’t taste just like chicken. The consistency is different, but the flavor is pretty good. I ate two of them plus a glass of wine for dinner tonight. You can pan fry them, but I just bake them for about 10 minutes and they come out perfect. Mmm…
Don’t get me wrong, I do like meat. But thawing and then preparing meat, esp chicken, can be a messy messy hassle. Maybe I’m just super messy, but unless it’s prebreaded, chicken = pain in the butt.
Wedding update: The last three days have been really productive. On Saturday, I bought my dress. Today, I booked a photographer and now I’m working on flowers. Fortunately, my aunt is helping me find places near her home so I don’t have to scour north dallas for reliable vendors. I had a little bit of a scare earlier today regarding the food, but it’s worked itself out.

I had leftover warm apple cinnamon bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and I am stuffed. I am SO gaining weight it isn’t even funny. Ugh…maybe I’ll walk some of it off when I’m on vacation in two weeks. Yeah, that’s it. Anyway, I’m not stressing about it too much. I’ve been studying and working on grad school applications. Oh yeah, and I joined the Unitarian Universalist fellowship I’ve been attending for the last ten months. Not that that really takes up much of my time but it is extra and curricular.
I’m good at beating myself up over bad eating habits but screw it. I had a healthy breakfast, lunch, snacks, no sodas and the bread pudding and ice cream were my only indulgences all day. And…I got a 100 on my Statistics quiz! I know I know, excitement city(tm dipu) over here. Heh, I almost typed excrement city. Ewww…
Chapter 3: chips+ pizza+diet dr. pepper+milk+chocolate = bloating and total lack of energy.
Yeah, I know it’s exactly what you want to read about as you sit down with your morning cup of coffee.
Last week was a lot of fun. Danny and I got to be tourists and show his family around town. This week however, we are continuing the dogged pursuit of what we do best: nothing.
We just finished watching season one of Arrested Development. It is freakin. funny. y’all. Go rent it.
I talked to my Dad after work today. He told me that it was hot but that it had rained just enough lately to keep the humidity high. Geez, way to make me really miss home. I am going home to Austin soon though. I got a really cheap plane ticket and I will be there to enjoy the heat, margaritas, mexican food, and snarky jokes for three days with my family and friends. Oh, and I plan to get in at least one trip to a swimmin’ hole too.
Other than that, not much else is going on. My mom and brother are in Quebec this week for vacation while Lisa, Matt, Michelle, Babs and Dipu are enjoying the sights and cool air on their Alaskan cruise.
Now that’s what I’m talking aboot!
We just got home from SF and we are so full. I met Danny and his family after work and then we had Indian food for dinner. Indian food swells in your belly to twice its normal size; like a sponge.
Now I’m home and the cats are milling about me like I’m an injured wildebeast and they want to pounce upon my bloated carcass. Ewww…well, maybe they just want to pounce.
Despite the fact that I only got about 4.5 hours of sleep last night and I still have two more days of work this week, I’m feeling really upbeat. It is so nice to have guests and show them around. Danny is doing most of the showing but, as he says, it’s nice to show them a little part of our new life in California….
….although we’ll ALWAYS be Texans HOOEY YEEHAW HOOKEM’ FIGHT TEXAS FIGHT!
