studying with scenery
After sleeping in super late, Danny and I went down to the central Seattle library. Someone in school told me about it and how interesting it was. The building is weird, but in a good way. I would choose to hang out there or meet a friend for coffee. Yes, they have a coffee shop. Anyway, we got there, wandered around for about 20 minutes, and then I settled down to do some homework while Danny went outside to make some phone calls.
There are eleven floors to the library and an underground parking garage. I camped out on the tenth floor. It was really cool. The ceiling is made of glass so obviously there is tons of natural light. It was overcast today so it didn’t heat up. I’m sure they have a great ventilation system, but I prefer the gray sky anyway.
I got most of my accounting homework done before they announced that the library was closing in half an hour. I met up with Danny and we went over to Pike Place Market. The plan was to wander around for a while and find somewhere to eat. I didn’t realize that the market shut down at 6pm, so we got there just as all of the vendors were packing up. I want to go back when everything is in full swing, but at least I got to show Danny the layout of the place before we headed home to order a pizza.
Tomorrow will be a day of studying, laundry, and housework. I might even do a crockpot recipe. I know, I’m wild. Still, cleaning can be therapeutic if there are no time constraints. It can also be a veiled form of procrastination. At least I got a lot of homework done today so I don’t have to totally stress about school stuff tomorrow.
Here’s a pic and a link to the Central Library. I’ll have to go back there again soon.
