Don’t Touch!

Best quote I’ve heard in a while:

From a harried mother to her twin two-year-old daughters: Don’t touch! Remember christmas tree rule: only look. She says this while she’s guiding them forward gently by the hoods on their matching jackets as they reach out for every christmas decoration available at their height.

Danny and I did a little shopping this weekend in Japantown. It was crowded, but probably not as crowded as the regular malls. I’m trying to do all of my shopping online this year so I can just have everything shipped to Texas. We also went to Burlington coat factory to get some more sweaters. Danny found a few on sale that he liked. It isn’t as cold this week as it was last week, but I’m sure he’ll use them regardless.

Although I don’t pay attention to much in the way of sports, I couldn’t help but notice all of the depressed CAL football fans when I got to work yesterday morning. Apparently, UT beat them out in a close race to go to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena this year. The Longhorns have never gone and this could have been Cal’s first chance in 50 years to go. I’m happy for UT, but I’m keeping my alliances quiet for now. Cal is playing Texas Tech in San Diego. My brother went to Tech and is just excited that Tech is “getting out of Houston” for a change.
